The Program
RECOMMENDATIONS
The Veterinary Technology Program will prepare individuals, under the supervision of veterinarians, laboratory animal specialists, and zoological professionals, to provide patient management, care, clinical procedure assistance, and owner communication. Students will receive training to enter entry level positions, as well as a solid educational base on which to build a post-secondary degree.

This program can provide students with opportunities and basic training in many different career pathways. The training received will prepare students for a variety of entry level positions within the veterinary pathway, as well as the educational foundation to continue to postsecondary education in the field. Some examples of potential employment include: animal trainer, veterinary assistant, kennel assistant, research assistant, groomers, animal control workers, veterinary technician, veterinary technologist and veterinarian.
