Auto Collision Technology
About This Course
This course includes instruction in the removal of dents, repair of rusted or damaged panels, replacement and installation of parts and accessories, preparation and refinishing of spot repairs, complete auto painting and refinishing, and straightening of frame structures.
Automotive body repairers work for shops that specialize in body repairs and painting for automobile and truck dealers as well as for organizations that maintain their own motor vehicles. About one fourth of all automotive body repair employees will be self-employed. The automotive repair business is not sensitive to changes in the economic conditions, and experienced body repair employees retain their positions in times of economic uncertainty.
