Who is Mrs. Peterson?: Mrs. Peterson has been the Chairperson of Student Services and School Counselor at Crawford Tech since 2019. She is a graduate of the former Crawford County AVTS Child Care program and Maplewood High School. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Developmental Psychology and her Masters in K-12 School Counseling from Edinboro University. In 2022, she obtained her Masters of Education in School Administration with a focus on Career and Technical Administration. She is now also the Dean of Students.
Prior to working at Crawford Tech, Mrs. Peterson spent 8 years working with adolescents. She was a supervisor at Bethesda Lutheran Services in Meadville, and the former School Counselor at Cambridge Springs High School.
Favorite Part of Teaching: Mrs. Peterson’s favorite part about working at Crawford Tech is being able to see the students grow and learn while at tech. Mrs. Peterson spends time getting to know students through recruitment activities, prior to them being enrolled in the school, and is able to see them progress through their programs and make decisions about their futures. She loves being an integral part of helping students learn about the amazing opportunities at Crawford Tech.
Outside of School: Outside of school, Mrs. Peterson enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter. They have 2 German Shepherds and 3 cats. Mrs. Peterson enjoys going to the movies, reading, and playing video games.
